Health Analytics, a leader in healthcare economics and outcomes research, is proud to announce the results of a pioneering study with Mentavi Health, validating the accuracy and reliability of diagnosing adult ADHD using the Mentavi Smart Assessment—an asynchronous, dynamically modeled assessment platform. The online assessment was developed utilizing 14 validated screening instruments and specific questions aligned with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) criteria to assess a broad range of mental health conditions, including ADHD.
As part of its mission to advance evidence-based mental health solutions, Health Analytics conducted a real-world study comparing the Mentavi Smart Assessment to the current gold standard for ADHD diagnosis, a face-to-face clinical interview by a trained psychologist. The study, which included 345 adults seeking online ADHD assessment, demonstrated a high level of agreement between the two methods.
Key findings include:
- An Overall Agreement Rate of 78.0%, with 80.6% Sensitivity and 94.9% Positive Predictive Value, confirming strong diagnostic accuracy
- Lower False Positive Rate (12%) compared to traditional clinical interviews (56%)
- Conservative Diagnosis Approach, reducing concerns of overdiagnosis
